This project will completely reconstruct and re-pave Bono Road. After many years, and due to a failure in the base of the road, potholes and cracks became a common problem for Bono Road. This project aims to completely correct these issues, and provide for a smooth roadway and driving experience. We will also be replacing curbs, ramps, and other areas of sidewalk to bring them up to standards, including ensuring that we meet all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Unfortunately, Bono Road will be closed while we complete this important infrastructure project. However, we are providing accommodations for local traffic and nearby residents to still use the road that will allow them to access their homes. Services such as trash pick-up, mail delivery, school bus routes, and other similar services should be unaffected, except for 2 one-week periods listed below.
For a period of approximately two weeks, the road will be closed fully. First, from Green Valley Road to Country Club Drive will be closed for approximately 1 week to complete work in that area. After finishing this work, the road will fully close from Country Club Drive to East Cottom Avenue for approximately 1 week. Detour signs will be placed in the area during these times where traffic is fully closed, and we will do our best to re-open the road to local traffic as quickly as possible.
