Free Lectures - Historic Photography of New Albany

Join Kaitlyn Markert (Archivist, Indiana Room, New Albany-Floyd County Public Library) as she explores the rich history of New Albany photography. The lecture will explore the different types of photographic processes popular in the Victorian Era, as well as provide information on how to preserve photos in your own collection. Examples from both the NAFC Library and Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site collection will be on display.

This lecture is the second installment of the Throwback Thursday Summer Lecture Series, part of the State Bicentennial celebrations.

The lecture begins at 12:00 (Noon) and is free to the public, but donations for the site will gladly be accepted at the door.

Light refreshments will be served. And a Discounted tour rate of $5 will be offered at the conclusion of the program.
